From Market to Kitchen The beautiful landscape and brilliant sunshine of Provence provided the perfect setting for another voyage in culinary discovery for our friends who joined us for the first of two spring 2004 tours conducted from June 4 to 10. Our slide show begins with a visit to the wineries of Provence, where we sampled some of the region's finest vintages. Then we offer a taste of a typical day at an open-air farmers' market, where our tour group discovered some of the produce and herbs essential to Provencal cuisine. Returning to our accommodations at the historic Prieure Notre Dame, Carole offers members of the group the opportunity to join her in preparing recipes that take full advantage of the culinary bounties of Provence.
